Serenity Eco Forest Reserve is situated in a densely forested valley
surrounded by the ancient Southern Mpumalanga mountain ranges on the
border of the world famous Kruger National Park.
The road to Serenity winds through spectacular unspoilt rolling hills,
rich indigenous forested mountains and virgin tropical valleys. Nestled
in an indigenous forest, "Serenity" is proclaimed a natural
heritage/eco site. Serenity is a haven of tranquility and a sanctuary
for abundant and varied bird life, rare butterflies and free roaming game.
The Lodge
The lodge nestles approximately 250 meters higher in altitude than the
Kruger National Park and therefore allows for a more friendly temperature
throughout the year, a temperature difference of between 3 and 5 degrees
Celsius less then the warm and dry climate of the Southern Kruger on
any given day.
The mountains surrounding Serenity give birth to the Buffalo River,
which meanders through this virgin forest and flows into the Kruger National
Park through the Crocodile River, which is the source of water supply
to many people in the area.
Sublime cuisine and personal friendly service ensure that Serenity

The smell of giant forest trees, the soothing sound of the cascading
water and the vast plateaus of mountain grasslands complete the texture

Facilities
The lodge has 9 luxury suites with six forest view suites nestled into
the forest overlooking the mountain stream and three lake view suites
overlooking the large picturesque body of water.
The spacious and luxurious thatched chalets are romantically tucked
away in the riverine forest overlooking the cascading mountain stream.
The luxury honeymoon suites are secluded romantic and spacious with a
private deck for candle-light dining. The cascading mountain forest stream
through the lodge makes it an ideal location for a romantic and unforgettable "honeymoon" stay.
Indulge in a selection of tea's and coffee with delightful homemade
cakes and pastries served at 16H00 on the deck.
Gourmet dinners are also a delight and the hospitality is warm and welcoming.

Experience chandelier waterfalls, well
demarcated walking trails through the forest or partake in romantic picnics,
wellness treatments or a spectacular sundowner drive overlooking Swaziland,
Mozambique and Kruger Park, or just relax in the privacy of your deck

The lodge is surrounded by 1300ha of biologically diverse eco systems,
a combination of true forest vegetation and mountain grasslands define
the Serenity landscape. Some of the forest trees date back to more than
a 1000 years and with that comes an abundance and varied bird species,
rare butterflies, tree orchards, dragon flies and natural roaming game
found in this reserve.
Serenity has been nationally classified as a unique and distinct true
forest biome, one of its kind in South Africa. Every effort is made to
preserve and protect the sensitive eco systems by minimizing our ecological
footprint, conserving water, saving energy, using only bio-degradable
products and continuously eradicating alien plants.

Just a stone throw from the Kruger National Park, Swaziland and Mozambique,
Serenity is perfectly placed for safari or exploring these neighboring
vibrant countries.
