Cathedral Peak
Nestled in the picturesque Drakensberg Mountain Range, a World Heritage Site, Cathedral Peak Hotel features a 9-hole golf course, a swimming pool, plenty of activities for young and old, children's programmes and horseriding to name a few.
Rooms offer views of the surrounding mountains and include an en suite bathroom with a bath or shower. Breakfast and dinner as well as mid-morning and afternoon tea are included. Cathedral Peak Hotel has a dining area (An optional separate dining area for children if they would like some independence) and a bar. There are included guided hikes and bird watching for guests to enjoy. Free WiFi is available in public areas.
Alpine Heath
The 4-star Alpine Heath hotel has stunning views of the Drakensberg Mountains with amenities that include an outdoor swimming pool, an equestrian centre, a cinema lost of activities and an entertainment centre for children.
The chalets all offer self catering facilities but there is a varied choice of restaurant facilities in the resort if you prefer catered.
Each of the Alpine Heath Resort chalets features a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a seating area with a sofa and a dining area. The kitchen includes a microwave, a tea/coffee maker and cutlery.
The chalets are serviced daily.
For the sporty guest there is a well-equipped fitness centre, a tennis court and a bicycle rental service for trips along the mountain trails. Alpine Heath Resort has many dining options for guests including regional dishes cooked in a traditional clay oven. Meals can be enjoyed in the restaurant, on the terrace or in the privacy of guests’ rooms. There are also braai barbecue facilities available.
